Dr. Kasey Abanonu is an experienced practitioner specializing in internal medicine, anti-aging treatments, and pain management. Originally hailing from South Africa, he moved to St. Paul, MN at the age of 16. After working as an inpatient hospitalist in organizations around the country, he eventually settled in Las Vegas.
Dr. Abanonu's philosophy is that all individuals deserve equal care with no preferential treatment. Throughout his career, he has believed in listening to his patients and attending to their needs as if they were family. With his integrative approach to medicine, he strives to provide the best care possible using proven treatment methods and state-of-the-art techniques.
Dr. Abanonu attended St. Thomas University in St. Paul, MN where he earned his Bachelor of Science. Shortly before graduating, he completed an internship at the United Nations office in Pretoria, South Africa where he served as a personal assistant to Elizabeth Dudu, coordinator of the UN Wellness Program and the UN HIV/AIDS Focal Point.
After graduating from St. Thomas University, Dr. Abanonu went on to study at the University of Sint Eustatius in the Netherlands Antilles, earning his medical degree. He completed his residency at Seton Hall University's Internal Medicine Residency Program. Over the years, he served as a traveling hospitalist at different health organizations across several states before coming to Nevada where he has resided since 2012.
Dr. Abanonu is an active member of the American College of Physicians, the American University of Integrative Sciences, and Africans in Medicine. During his studies, he was a member of the American Medical Students Association and the Student National Medical Association.
Outside of his work, Dr. Abanonu enjoys reading, traveling, and playing soccer, having played professionally for the Minnesota Thunder, as well as the Minnesota Twin Stars FC. He is fluent in English, Igbo, and Swahili.
